Course description

INTRODUCTION

Sustainable development cannot be achieved without effective and transparent public finance systems. As countries strive to meet the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), there is an urgent need to realign financial policies, budget frameworks, and development strategies to promote inclusive growth, environmental protection, and institutional resilience.

This conference aims to provide policymakers, financial planners, and development professionals with the tools and knowledge required to integrate sustainability principles into public finance management (PFM). It will explore how effective budgeting, transparent revenue systems, responsible public investments, and green financing mechanisms can drive national development priorities.

Participants will engage with global best practices, innovative financing solutions, and strategies to improve accountability in public expenditure. The conference also emphasizes the role of multi-stakeholder partnerships and data-driven decision-making in aligning public finance with long-term development outcomes.
